Las Vegas
top
As often as you might have seen it on TV or in a movie, there
is nothing that prepares you for that first sight of Las Vegas.
Magnificent hotels glow green and gold. Pink, red, yellow, blue and white neon
pulsates all around. Electric lights flash. Music plays. Volcanoes erupt. Fountains
soar. Cars create two moving streams of light, red and white. People in the thousands
walk up, down and over the Strip. Roller coasters corkscrew high above the ground.
A laser beam, visible from space, penetrates the night sky, inviting the whole
universe to come and play.
And that's only outside - step into any of the iconic casino resorts along
the Strip, and you'll enter a world of pure imagination.
The skyline is hyper-reality, a melange of the Statue of Liberty,
a giant lion, a pyramid, and a Sphinx, and preternaturally glittering buildings.
At night, it's so bright you can actually get disoriented - and suffer from
a sensory overload that can reduce you to hapless tears or fits of giggles.
And that's without setting foot inside a casino, where the shouts
from the craps tables, the crash of coins from the slots, and the general roar
combine into either the greatest adrenaline rush of your life or the 11th pit
of hell.
March through May and October are the most popular times to visit
Vegas. To beat the crowds and get the best rates, visit in the summer or winter
months (just remember, the desert is warm in the summer and cool in the winter) .
Catching the harmless Las Vegas virus is real easy. The Entertainment Capital of the World welcomes well over 37 million people each year. Visitors love to enjoy luxurious hotels, unique shopping experiences, dazzling and unusual stage shows, first rate restaurants, and world class gaming. Of course, Las Vegas is also a golfer's paradise, with plenty of championship golf courses.
Hawaii

Hawaii - the Aloha State - welcomes and seduces
visitors with its frangipani-scented sea breezes and tropical warmth. This is
where East merges with West in a blur of hula and disco, soap operas and creation
myths, junk food and Japanese tea ceremonies, Shinto shrines and surf clubs.
Mark Twain declared Hawaii to be 'the loveliest fleet of islands
that lies anchored in any ocean', and not even thirty years of mass tourism
have managed to prove him wrong. Whether your thing is volcano spotting, surfing
or just lying back and smelling the orchids, this is the place to indulge yourself.
There are 6 major islands to visit in the Hawaiian Island chain,
and multiple climates on each island. You could snow-ski on Mauna Kea and parasail
on Maui in the same day. You could spend a week in a cottage on a deserted beach
and then spend another week at a bed and breakfast on a live volcano.
Wondering what the Aloha State means? It means the people here
let you in traffic ahead of them; they smile and say hello as they pass on the
street. This aloha has been adopted by all those who live here, but it must
be credited to the Hawaiians; those of the rich culture, and exotic look, plus
a unique, historical unity with the land.
The weather in Hawaii is perfect. The year-round average temperature
is between 75 and 90 degrees Farenheit with an average ocean temp of 74 degrees
in winter and 80 degrees in summer. Thanks to the constant trade winds, the
highest temperature ever recorded here was 100 degrees F in 1931. So, while
it gets tropical warm - it is never too hot.
Sure, it rains here - it rains a lot in Hilo, and in other places - but that
doesn't bother most because all you have to do is drive around to the sunny
side of any island for almost guaranteed sun. There are places in the islands
(usually on the west or south sides) with an average rainfall of 7 inches a
year, and 350 days of sun.
Hawaii is a island of contrasts. The deep green grass against the deep blue
ocean. The backdrop of sculpted mountains against the tropical blue sky. The
stark, black lava slicing through the tropical rainforest. The pearl white beach
sand covered by the light-green waters. The red, hot lava pouring into the boiling
sea. Beauty, wherever you look.
Every had a Hawaiian Spinner Dolphin race your boat? How about fought a 1200
pound Marlin to a draw? Have you seen a baby humpback whale learn how to lift
its entire body out of the water? Do you have red hot lava flowing through your
backyard? What color are sunsets where you live? Here they are "purple-red-orange-pink"
... oh yea, and green.
United States

Without a doubt no other travel destination in the world offers
such a combination of diversity and dynamism as the United States.
Yet while the United States is so varied and under constant change,
it has unique characteristics that are common to the whole nation and some changes
- particularly those of a social or political nature take longer here than virtually
anywhere else in the world. It is these very dichotomies of dynamic conservatism
and homogenous inimitability that make the U.S. such a fascinating place from
all perspectives.
The United States is also the ideal travel destination because its infrastructure
lends itself perfectly to travel. A large amount of this vast country can be
experienced over a comparatively short period of time. An incomparable network
of highways and the world’s most extensive airline system make this possible.
So it's perfectly feasible to enjoy the urban electricity of New York City,
then sample the legendary hospitality and history of the South and conclude
with the casual sophistication of California all within a ten day to two week
time span
